My pet portraits are painted with lightfast watercolor paints, on archival illustration board. Instead of copying directly from a photograph, I focus on expressing each animal's unique personality and life. This can mean minor adjustments, or creating a new background. It can also mean adding props and creating new poses!

I can paint any and all animals, including dogs, cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, farm animals, and exotic species.
